Connecting the right people
Working with agencies and middlemen can be a frustrating experience, mostly because the more layers and teams you add to a project, the poorer the communication gets. Besides that, the final client has to pay a lot more for a poorer service as each layer needs to get their cut, which means that the execution gets the crumbs.
No one questions the value an agency or proxy provides, for the client, who doesn't have to vet the people working on the project, and for the people working on the project who don't have to hunt the projects themselves. However, there could be a better way of doing it.
Middlecut is meant to be the place that connects premium execution (designers, developers etc.) to premium demand.
