What we are looking for

Equilibrium is a highly collaborative and interdependent company. We are looking for a staff/ sr staff program manager to accelerate the delivery of our Science organization. You will be working with an extremely talented and ambitious team of ML, forecasting, data and energy scientists and researchers. As a key member of the program management team, you will play an active role in developing and implementing processes and tools that structure and organize the Science teams, collaborating cross-functionally to enable Science within product development, and developing research and incubation processes to accelerate innovation. 

What you will do

Project Management

  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities to keep the team organized by running meetings, tracking tickets and maintaining project plans
  • Communicate project updates, status and interface with senior stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate risks and blockers
  • Manage scope, resources and budget to deliver on time 

Stakeholder Management

  • Establish processes and tools to collaborate with the rest of the company
  • Act as the main point of contact for stakeholder requests
  • Monitor and communicate updates to ensure timely delivery of requests
  • Facilitate roadmap planning and prioritization through science driven initiatives and stakeholder collaboration

Accelerating Experimentation

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Science leadership to implement opportunities to accelerate the pace of experimentation
  • Automate workflows and streamlining processes to reduce friction
  • Leverage tools to optimize research and experimentations efforts

The minimum qualifications you’ll need

  • Passion for clean energy and fighting climate change
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years in project/program management in a technical field. 
  • Experience leading projects with technical teams
  • Agile certified scrum master 
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Experience building and implementing processes from scratch
  • Must be effective working in a fast-paced team environment and navigating ambiguity
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a group
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required
  • Demonstrates creativity and independent thought when solving problems

Nice to have additional skills

  • Experience working with machine learning, scientific research or price forecasting teams
  • Experience working in energy markets, battery optimization or power systems
  • Experience working in financial trading (e.g. equities trading), and quantitative analysis
  • Experience working with fully remote teams
  • Advanced degree or PMP certification
  • Experience in developing platforms for internal processes
  • Experience with tools; Jira, Coda, Slack, Google Workspace
