About this role

We’re looking for an experienced Fraud Risk Analyst to help drive critical initiatives aimed at protecting the integrity of our community of brands and retailers. 

As a member of the Risk org’s Fraud & Abuse team, you will collaborate closely with other functional experts and cross-functional partners to ensure we employ world-class risk management, allowing our business to innovate and offer products that deliver an exceptional customer experience for our brands and retailers while preventing fraudulent or abusive practices on our platform.  

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work as a high-impact individual contributor within the Fraud & Abuse space and have the opportunity to drive projects end-to-end.

What you’ll do 

  • Work with leadership to evolve a holistic fraud and abuse management strategy, adapting it to emerging risks 
  • Identify vulnerabilities in current policies and products, and drive the scoping and implementation of mitigations 
  • Partner with teams such as Data Science, Engineering, and Product to build enhancements to existing products and new features, and reduce financial exposure
  • Use data insights and analytics to inform improved fraud and abuse detection capabilities 
  • Build strong internal relationships across partner teams and key internal stakeholders
  • Develop effective and scalable operational processes and fill operational gaps
  • Level up team members through new and improved processes, training, coaching and more

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Risk or Fraud; prior experience with account security / ATOs or new product risk mitigations is a plus
  • Strong data analysis skills including proficiency in SQL
  • Critical thinking and strategic problem solving - you’re able to break down an ambiguous problem and identify solutions 
  • Experience with project management and driving projects independently from conception to implementation, balancing inputs from various stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Data Science, Product, Engineering, and other Operations teams to execute on high-impact initiatives 

Salary Range

California / New York: the pay range for this role is $127,500 - $175,500 per year. 
Colorado / Washington / New Jersey: the pay range for this role is $115,000 - $158,000 per year.

This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
