As a Sales Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a pod of Sales Operations Analysts who support our Sales and Sales Development functions. You will use your passion for people development to coach our smart, driven, and engaged analysts to level up their skills. You will partner closely with Sales and Sales Development leaders to define business needs and goals. You will lean on your own technical background to scope new data projects and reporting assets. And you will bring your business acumen to planning and strategy conversations to help inform the future of the businesses you support. Finally, expect to collaborate with cross functional partners in Enablement, Data Science, Marketing, Finance and IT to advance projects and initiatives that move our business forward.
We are looking for candidates who are proven people leaders who can motivate and grow the individuals on their team. The most successful candidates will have experience translating business needs to analytical deliverables, including designing dashboards and making data-backed recommendations. Strong communication skills are a must to facilitate great collaboration across stakeholders and manage competing priorities.

Qualifications
These are the minimum qualifications that our hiring team is looking for in this role:
- 4+ Years Work Experience
- 1+ Year Experience in an Analyst Role
- 1+ Year Experience in a People Manager Role
- Ability to work with, organize, audit, query, and manipulate large data sets using SQL and Excel
- Experience translating business needs into analytical requirements and deliverables
Additionally, these are the preferred qualifications that would indicate a particularly strong candidate:
- Ability to Create Data Visualizations in a BI Platform (Preferably Tableau)
- Project management experience, including a demonstrated ability to manage a project backlog amidst competing priorities and deadlines. Track record of driving projects from start to finish with multiple cross-functional stakeholders
- Effective, clear, and concise communication skills
- Experience directly in Sales / Revenue Operations
Within 1 month, you will:
- Experience Sprout’s in-depth onboarding, covering everything from our company mission and values, hearing directly from executives and founders, to deep training on our products and the value that Sprout delivers to our customers
- Make a plan with your manager to set initial priorities, align on expectations for your role, plant goalposts for your career, and learn about Sprout’s approach to Sales Operations.
- Get to know and begin to build working relationships with the Sales Operations Analyst team.
- Get to know and begin to build working relationships with stakeholders throughout our Sales and Sales Development teams as well as cross-functional teams.
- Become familiar with our sales environment and sales processes.
Within 3 months, you will:
- Build connections with members from other teams through active networking and community building
- Take direct management responsibility of the Sales Operations Analyst team, start providing mentorship and guidance to the team, and assist them in the execution of their objectives.
- Gain an understanding of all current reporting, analysis, and recurring work being done by the Sales Operations Analyst team.
- Gain an understanding of all Key Performance Indicators for all the various Sales teams.
- Gain an understanding of all quotas and quota methodology for all the various Sales teams
- Gain an understanding of most Salesforce.com data and sales processes.
Within 6 months, you will:
- Have your first performance conversation with your manager, where you’ll discuss your accomplishments in your role and work together to build goals for your professional growth
- Become the subject matter expert for all operational reporting, quota methodology, credit procedures and policies, and career mobility process for our Sales and Sales Development teams
- Become the main conduit between Sales and Sales Development Leadership and the Sales Operations Analyst team to translating data and reporting needs into solutions.
- Continue to mentor and coach the team, helping them organize and prioritize their backlog, manage and scope incoming requests, and navigate stakeholder management
Within 12 months, you will:
- Surprise us! Use your unique ideas and abilities to change your team in beneficial ways that we haven’t even considered yet.
- Develop proactive rituals to support Sales Leaders in their planning cycles, including, but not limited to, headcount planning, inbound routing standards, and big organizational shifts to achieve improved efficiency.
- Reorganize and centralize the portfolio of analytical resources available to our sales and sales development leaders, managers, and associates to ensure the suite is comprehensive and user friendly
- Coach the team to improve their skills, including but not limited to technical capabilities, project and stakeholder management, communication, organization and analytical abilities.
- Identify opportunities for disparate sales functions to operate more efficiently and serve as a project contributor or driver to move the business forward.
Of course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.
