What You Will Do:

  • Develop a player-first community strategy; own and drive the game’s short and long-term community strategy, translating strategy into action plans and setting clear goals for team members.
  • Manage regional social media content scheduling specifications and collaborate across regions to develop efficient workflows to achieve a consistently epic experience globally.
  • Manage global projects: Work with community project and creator teams to develop and manage best-in-class global community creator programs to achieve near-term game project goals while working toward long-term community goals.
  • Develop social media platforms: Stay at the forefront of a rapidly changing community ecosystem, bringing new forms of community experiences to teams and projects. Work with cross-functional teams (including but not limited to: distribution, product and external partnership teams) to develop programs that drive action toward achieving key community growth goals.
  • Establish effective feedback mechanisms: Work with platform moderators together to support and maintain a great community environment. Listen to community needs, anticipate risks and take swift actions so as to build two-way conversations and maintain a world-class feedback loop between the people playing the game and the people making the game.
  • Develop a community manual: Build and expand community knowledge base of what works and what doesn’t, with the aim to continuously improve the team and its operational capabilities.
  • Build and manage a team: Manage multi-person team across different regions; support team members develop strong communication skills and locate and address team weaknesses promptly, promoting those with excellent abilities.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 7+ years’ experience in community management, publishing, or social media marketing for large-scale global gaming communities.
  • Broad general knowledge of different regional community cultures; deep understanding of North American culture.
  • Familiar with the mechanics, algorithms and user attributes of mainstream social media landscape, including those of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, TikTok, Reddit, and Discord.
  • Rich vendor communication and stakeholder management experience, able to quickly coordinate multi-party resources and collaborate effectively.
  • Deep understanding of game mechanics and the needs of the development team. Keen follower of industry dynamics, capable of providing the team with the latest industry information.
  • Understanding of copywriting requirements and accurate vocabulary usage in order to optimize external communication announcements.
  • Vast experience in content management platform CMS, webpage production, SEO and event operations; can swiftly identify problems and make optimization suggestions.
  • Hold a certain level of art appreciation, image editing ability, technical programming and agile project management skills.
  • Proven experience as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing performance measures, processes and systems.
  • Proficient in English, Mandarin Chinese a big plus.
