Role Overview
FlyFlat is seeking a full-time Sabre Air Booking Expert to handle booking complex international air itineraries for discerning clientele, with patience and a willingness to please. The ideal candidate has at least an intermediate level of written and spoken English. This position is remote and you would work normal business hours for EST time. The expected monthly take-home pay for this role is $1000-1500 depending on your experience and how profitable that month was for FlyFlat.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper documentation of all airline and department documentation is provided as required.
- Booking of flights in Sabre GDS for passengers.
- Assisting the passengers to get their preferred seats and updating their itineraries with Mileage numbers, TSA PreCheck and global entry numbers.
- Providing excellent customer service via chat and email to all customers creating a positive and seamless experience.
- Respond to all inquiries from emails and GDS queues within the set service level agreement professionally and concisely.
- Ability to accurately interpret air requirements utilizing a variety of sources.
- Ability to negotiate and ticket group contracts.
- Proactively suggesting booking process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of Sabre experience with booking and ticketing duties.
- Other GDS experiences helpful
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to multitask and prioritize during times that can sometimes seem chaotic
- Working knowledge of Airline industry policies.
- Ability to think outside the box in shopping and troubleshooting scenarios.
- Strong Microsoft Skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Detail-Oriented
- Able to explain complex topics clearly to clients and other team members

Nice to have experience:
- Client-facing experience
- Experience in other roles in the travel industry

Compensation:
Base Salary: $800-1200 base depending on your experience with booking Air Travel within Sabre and servicing high-end travel clients for their air travel needs.
Commissions: 3% of all gross profits are split amongst the team of Sabre Air Booking Experts and Customer Service Associates. On a typical month of $75k of gross profit, expect over a $200 commission per month. But our business is growing fast and we expect this number to consistently increase!
Expected Monthly Take-Home Salary: $1000-1500 depending on level of experience and how profitable the month was for the company
Work Schedule: Full Time. Emphasis on results so if you are in the middle of a booking for a client, you need to make sure to hand off the booking successfully to another team member before fully signing off. The more successful bookings happen the higher your commission will be at the end of the month!
