About the Client:
Mura is a newly founded company that has yet to be publicly announced. Founded by Ryan G Smith, who previously co-founded LeafLink, Mura is still in the concept and research stage building out a virtual back office for small and medium-sized businesses powered by overachieving people and artificial intelligence. The founder will be personally funding the enterprise until there is a need to raise capital, likely by EOY. At LeafLink, Ryan raised over $200m in equity and $300m in debt to build the platform that now runs more than half of all the cannabis transactions in the US.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Chief of Staff to support an experienced founder embarking on a new concept company. The Chief of Staff will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing cross-functional projects, and providing strategic support to the CEO. This role requires the ability to work closely with senior leadership to execute business objectives, anticipate needs and risks, and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Serve as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating communication and coordination across departments and teams.
- Provide high-level support to the CEO/President, including scheduling, task prioritization, and representation in meetings and discussions.
- Conduct research, gather data, and prepare presentations or briefing materials to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Manage administrative tasks such as expense management, accounting, and billing.
- Act as the CEO's representative in meetings, discussions, and negotiations to ensure effective communication and implementation of decisions and vision.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Chief of Staff role or a similar role.
- Experience in managing cross-functional projects and teams, strategic planning, analysis, and problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Autonomous, proactive and innovative.
- Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and aligning with the founder's vision and core values.
