We are seeking a qualified Senior Director, Clinical Programs (Behavioral Health Centers of Excellence) to join our Medical Affairs team. The Medical Affairs mission is to continually improve and expand our care delivery programs, practices and outcomes as we build precision mental health care for our customers. The Senior Director, Clinical Programs, Acute Behavioral Health, will be responsible for evolving existing programs to further accommodate members with various behavioral health needs via the evolution and ongoing development of its Centers of Excellence model. This role will be a full-time employee role reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer with frequent engagement with the General Manager, New Ventures.
What you will be doing:
- Work closely with Medical Affairs and the New Ventures team in further developing the clinical vision for new Centers of Excellence for specific sub conditions and executing clinical planning and oversight of newly developed clinical programs.
- Partner with our Care Navigation team to continually improve coordination of care for members into acute care programs including cross collaboration with other companies with whom Spring has strategic partnerships
- Build and execute training programs for a wide group of stakeholders for clinical programs
- Develop clinical quality review functions for specific clinical programs that align with KPIs for existing programs
- Manage clinical partner relationships in select programs to ensure high-quality care delivery
- Work closely with the Data Science team in strengthening Spring’s precision mental health offerings to measuring outcomes
- Build and improve provider tools for improved program execution
- Explore, vet, recommend, and build future program expansion opportunities
- Engage with our product teams to recommend clinical product updates needed to improve clinical programs.
What we expect from you:
- Full, unrestricted, independent mental health license in at least one state - Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed mental health counselor/professional counselor or equivalent.
- 7-10 years post-training mental health clinical experience
- 5+ years’ experience developing new clinical programs in behavioral health especially programs that are largely, but not exclusively, virtual.
- 5+ years experience developing, directing and/or supervising clinical programs
- Experience in the digital mental health ecosystem space and specialty clinical program development
- Proactively engage with leadership’ comfortable managing cross-functional teams and ensuring tasks are completed
- Demonstrated experience monitoring clinical safety/quality KPIs to improve safety and outcomes that drive a great member experience in impactful and scalable ways
- Trained in multiple evidence-based therapies and regularly use measurement-based care practices
- You're comfortable with technology and excel as a telehealth provider
- Passion for clinical quality and the use of data/evidence-based treatments to improve treatment outcomes
- Data-driven, analytical, and operational in nature
- Excellent communicator and teacher, with experience developing and delivering educational trainings for providers and other community stakeholders
- Experience and comfort talking to customers to answer clinical questions and/or report on clinical results
The target salary range for this position is $187,400 $243,700, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
