SUMMARY
The Market Intelligence team is the arm of the firm that is responsible for monitoring market trends and using that information to derive insight and drive decisions. From evaluating historical data, to forecasting the future, Market Intelligence takes a data driven approach to keep the organization informed and improve our decision making. Market Intelligence digs deep into the details to understand nuances but can surface key-takeaways and executive summaries for leadership and the board. Driven by an insatiable passion for the cryptocurrency and the Bitcoin mining industry, the Market Intelligence Team is rigorous in their analytical methods, creative approach, and thorough problem-solving abilities. Market Intelligence is constantly asking “why” and “what if” to understand the Bitcoin Mining market more than any other person on earth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Strategic Analysis: Develop and execute strategies to gather, analyze, and interpret data related to Bitcoin mining industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting Bitcoin mining.
- Forecasting: Develop models to predict mining profitability, network difficulty, and future trends.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor and assess competitors’ mining operations, efficiency, and profitability.
- Risk Assessment: Identify risks and opportunities in the mining sector, considering factors like hash rate fluctuations, energy costs, and geopolitical developments.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on mining hardware, energy consumption, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies affecting the Bitcoin mining ecosystem.
- Data Mining: Extract meaningful insights from large datasets, including blockchain data, transaction volumes, and mining pool statistics.
- Reporting and Insights: Present findings to senior management, providing actionable recommendations for optimizing mining operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and technology, to align market intelligence with business goals.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the organization at industry conferences, contribute to thought leadership articles, and engage with mining community stakeholders.

- A passion for Bitcoin and a strong understanding of how Bitcoin and mining work, or the desire to learn.
- Experience managing strategies, multiple partnerships, and business deals at once through all deal phases.
- Intrinsic motivation and a strong entrepreneurial spirit – you take charge, solve problems, and challenge the status quo.
- Strong experience in developing financial modeling such as market data models, revenue projections, and ability to find creative solutions/deal structures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 3-8 years' experience in research, data science, economics, finance, or a related field
- Proven track record in market research, competitive intelligence, or financial analysis; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- A passion for Bitcoin and a deep understanding of the Bitcoin mining ecosystem, including knowledge of blockchain technology, proof-of-work consensus, global hashrate, mining pools, mining hardware, etc.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and draw actionable insights.
- Intrinsic motivation and a strong entrepreneurial spirit – you take charge, solve problems, and challenge the status quo. You never stop asking questions and “why?”
