Description

👋 You found us. Awesome. Something led you here, maybe a glimpse of potential and something amazing? Well that’s how we feel about Klue.

Who are we?

We are an established leader in win-loss and churn research and analysis and are now part of the Klue Team! Our team of experienced analysts design and deliver research programs for a wide range of business-to-business (B2B) technology companies. Using a structured, scalable process, we enable our clients to improve their win rates by making more informed and impactful business decisions.

Some of our existing clients include Salesforce, Gong, Seismic, Shopify… and Klue!

Our mission continues to be focused on helping our customers win more with actionable competitive and market insights and expanding those to include Win-Loss insights within our all-in-won platform. No other provider in the market offers win-loss as part of their solution.

More on Klue:

Klue is a VC backed, capital-efficient high growth SaaS company. Tiger Global and Salesforce Ventures led our US$62m Series B in the fall of 2021. We’re creating the category of competitive enablement: helping companies understand their market and outmaneuver their competition. We benefit from having an experienced leadership team working alongside several hundred risk-taking builders who elevate every day.

We’re one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures by Waterstone HC, a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 & Fast 500 winner, and recipient of both the Startup of the Year and Tech Culture of the Year awards at the Technology Impact Awards.

👋 We're looking to hire a Sr. Research Associate to join the Win-Loss Team!

Research Associates drive value and promote client retention and loyalty by reviewing and analyzing win–loss, and churn program data, particularly on complex or strategic clients. Your goal is to provide in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis, ensuring data integrity and insightful storytelling for executive summaries and research briefs tailored to client needs.

This is the opportunity to play a meaningful role in elevating the value of Win-Loss with an industry leader.

\n

What You'll Do:
  • Maintain and analyze qualitative and quantitative data sets to identify key themes and trends in support of client research goals.
  • Collaborate with the research team to tell the data story in support of executive summary presentation production.
  • Contribute to and drive process improvements through participation in cross-departmental initiatives; may include project management of initiatives.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis in support of research teams and/or clients.
  • Mentor junior members of the team to develop their analysis skills and increase their contributions across the broader team.

Skills You'll Need:
  • Strong Data Analysis & Manipulation Experience: Previous research or business/data analysis experience. Survey design and analysis experience
  • Microsoft Office/Google Suite: Advanced PowerPoint/Slides skills. Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite.
  • Spreadsheet Pro: Advanced spreadsheet skills (charts, macros, pivot tables, conditional formatting, COUNTIF, SUMIF, filtering)
  • Project Management: You have proven experience as a project/program manager, consistently delivering projects on time. You have high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and that all areas are on point, no matter how small (formatting, grammar, spelling, etc).
  • Customer-Focused Experience: You view your customers as partners and have direct client-facing experience from previous roles. You consistently look to learn more about their clients, their products and programs to gain a better understanding of the research.
  • Bonus if you have: previous B2B tech or Win-Loss experience or coding/scripting experience

This is You:
  • Strong Communicator: You're comfortable communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. Are an effective communicator, both written and verbal
  • Highly Curious & Critical Thinker: learning something new (whether a concept or software) is something that comes easily to you. You're resourceful and curious in your approach. When questions arise, you think through potential solutions (understanding the effects of those solutions) to solve the problem, rather than just looking for an answer.
  • Agile & Adaptable: You can multi-task, juggle projects and deadlines. Ability to adjust to changing circumstances, whether it is moving priorities, updates to projects, new clients, or new technology.
  • Growth Mindset: You're authentic and self-aware. Humble and coachable. Take risks and learn from mistakes. You’re a "self-starter" who likes to take initiative and run with complex projects.
  • Big Picture Thinker: Looks beyond just the task that is at hand but how it fits into the larger picture - does it make sense, how have things changed, etc.
  • Team Player: You like to collaborate with others across your team and are willing to pitch in where needed to get the job done. You frequently identify opportunities to raise the bar for yourself and others.

How We Work
  • Hybrid Work. Our main Canadian hubs are in Vancouver and Toronto, and most of our team is located in EST and PST. Ideally, this role would be located in Toronto or Vancouver.
  • Your team will be in office at least 2 days per week, if you are within a reasonable commuting distance of the office, we’ll see you there!

Total Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive salary
  • Benefits. Extended health & dental benefits that kick in day 1
  • Opportunity to participate in our Employee Stock Option Plan
  • Time off. Take what you need. We want the team to prioritize wellness and avoid burnout. Vacation usually falls into 3 categories: recharging, life-event, & keeping a work-life balance. Just ensure the required work gets done and clear it with your team in advance. You need to take at least two weeks off every year. The average Klue team member takes 2-4 weeks of PTO per year.
  • Be part of a high performing Win-Loss team who know how to celebrate their success!

\n
$65,000 - $75,000 a year
We gather compensation benchmarking data across the BC & Canadian Tech Industry and use that data to build a range for our current team and future talent. Your exact salary is determined by experience level, skill, capabilities, whether or not you select options and internal pay parity.

If you feel like this role is a great fit and have questions about comp, get in touch and we’re happy to discuss further. There is always an ongoing conversation around compensation.

Lastly, we take potential into consideration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of the specifics listed above. If you know you have what it takes, even if that’s different from what we’ve described, be sure to explain why in your application. Reach out and let’s see if there is a home here for you now or in the future.

We’ve made a commitment to support and contribute to a diverse environment; on our teams and in our community. We’re early in our journey; we've started employee led resource groups, committed to Pay Up For Progress, and use success profiles for roles instead of 'years of experience'. We continue to scale our efforts as Klue grows. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and have dedicated that commitment to our current and future #kluecrew. During the interview process, please let us know if there is anything we need to make more accessible or accommodate to support you to be successful.

All interviews will be conducted via video calls. We work in a hybrid model of WFH (remote) and in-office. We’re excited to meet you and in the meantime, get to know us:
