Acquia is seeking an experienced and motivated paralegal or junior attorney to join our dynamic, fun, collaborative, and team-focused company. You will report to the Associate General Counsel and Global Privacy Officer based in Munich, Germany.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review standard contracts with third parties (including sales, services and procurement contracts) whether the company’s requirements under its policies are met. This will also require working collaboratively with other company departments.
- Organize and administer the procurement process from a legal perspective (following the company’s procurement policies and procedures).
- Organize and administer the privacy management program.
- Organize and review standardized privacy and other compliance assessments .
- Be a trusted colleague of the Legal Team providing timely, thoughtful and helpful responses to internal requests.
EDUCATION/ACCREDITATION
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, or similar fields appropriate for a paralegal or legal education
EXPERIENCE AND SPECIFIC SKILLS
- Relevant practice experience in corporate legal department and/or law firm, preferably with high-growth or startup technology companies dealing with commercial transactions.
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills.
- Experience of working in a distributed, global workforce operating in other regions and other time zones.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented with an outstanding work ethic; should be able to independently manage and successfully prioritize numerous projects under deadline pressure.
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of matters.
- A non-hierarchical and low ego team-player who is comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment and used to very busy peak times at quarter ends.
- Mature individual with good judgment who is pragmatic and solution oriented. A genuine business partner who will provide commercially-focused advice which balances appropriate legal risk management with the need to enable and support the business.
- Deeper knowledge in relation to data protection law and familiarity with current developments (including AI) a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills..
