The Opportunity:
We are looking for a CPA to join the finance team as a Finance Manager. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, this position is a key business partner to department leaders and will help drive a culture of continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute meaningfully to the company's growth objectives. This role is part of a team that oversees the finances of Pela Case Corporation & Lomi, a unique opportunity to work on an established brand, and scaling organization
In this role, you’ll:
Take ownership of key financial statement areas for the consolidated business, including inventory and COGS.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Optimize the consolidated month-end close process to support a 7-day close.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (ASPE), tax regulations, and other financial reporting requirements.
Assist in preparing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with senior leadership to increase their financial acumen and impact.
Work on some cool projects, including supporting the launch of new products/lines of business, process improvements, system implementations, revenue recognition, etc.
Our ideal team member:
Has 5+ years of accounting experience with a CPA designation and a combination of public accounting and industry experience
Experience in a similar role in a Retail, eCommerce or Wholesale business with in-depth experience with the inventory module in Netsuite or a similar large ERP
Pays close attention to details and can review their own work thoroughly
Is naturally curious; if something seems off, you want to figure out what is going on
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across diverse teams, and a history of explaining complex ideas succinctly
May have corporate and indirect tax experience - this is an asset

Compensation Range: $90k -130k CAD
