The Role

TuneIn, a leading provider of audio streaming services, is seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our CloudOps team. The CloudOps team plays a pivotal role in the management of production tools such as AWS, CloudFlare, and GitHub self-hosted runners. This role will be instrumental in future projects to improve vulnerability management, harden our attack surface, and enhance the overall security of our infrastructure. In addition to supporting our security and cloud infrastructure, this role helps ensure a seamless and secure working environment for remote and in-office work. From diagnosing and resolving IT incidents to configuring and monitoring our security systems, our team is committed to providing comprehensive support to all employees.

Scope of Work:

THIS ROLE WILL FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO

  • Take the lead on larger projects around security and SaaS services such as AWS infrastructure, CloudFlare management, GitHub self-hosted runners, and VPN
  • Own the overall security of the production environment for TuneIn
  • Migrate AWS resources to IaC
  • Configure and monitor security systems - internal tooling and SaaS services
  • Diagnose and resolve security incidents and requests, while creating helpful documentation
  • Configure the mobile device management platform to improve security and end-user experience
  • Administrate services such as CrowdStrike, CloudFlare, GitHub, TwinGate, AWS
  • Contribute to onboarding and offboarding employees via streamlining/automating processes to improve the security posture

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Security & Cloud Infrastructure
  • Experience with in-use tools: CrowdStrike, GitHub, and/or Terraform
  • Cloud Infra experience (AWS or Azure or Google)
  • Hands-on experience with a scripting language
  • Certifications: CompTIA Cloud+, CCSP, and/or AWS Certified Security preferred
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes is nice to have 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Troubleshoots issues and wants to know the why, not just how
  • Understands/values timeliness and completeness for projects
  • Expert at deployment and management of various security tool staples: attack surface monitoring, vulnerability scanning, secrets scanning, endpoint protection, etc.
  • Experience with AWS or other public cloud vendor(s)
  • Able to triage security incidents: monitors observability tools, investigates issues, remediates when possible, and escalates to appropriate teams to resolve as needed
  • Familiar with Corp IT staples such as: vendor managed email, productivity tools, file sharing, Apple DEP, SSO, SCIM provisioning, public cloud computing, and office networking
  • Ability to administrate Okta or other corp identity management platform(s)
  • Comfortable handling the standard finance processes of asset management and expense reporting 
  • Keeps cool under the pressure of deadlines and high-stress situations
  • Works well independently with little supervision
  • Work well with others outside of team boundaries
  • Relishes the opportunity to research, learn, and use new technologies
  • Approachability and a stellar customer service mentality
