Perplexity is building the next generation answer engine, empowering our users to find information in new and more effective ways. Perplexity applies LLMs for knowledge search at scale, serving millions of users across the world.

In pursuit of this mission, we are looking for LLM teachers to build recommendation systems for a more engaging, easier to use product.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-generated writing based on guidelines assessing helpfulness, factuality, etc.
  • Review the work of other teachers.
  • Produce top-tier original content in response to prompts.
  • You create your own working hours depending on project length.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or have completed an Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Native-level fluency in English
  • Possess a strong writing style with excellent English-language spelling and grammar skills.
  • Have a critical eye and the ability to clearly articulate the strengths and weaknesses of written text.
  • Professional writing experience as a researcher, journalist, technical writer, editor, or similar roles
  • Interest in AI and machine learning concepts

Must have one or more of the following:

  • Native-level fluency in one or more of the following languages: Japanese, Korean, German, French
  • Proven background in data science or coding

Note: This is a contract role paying $30 USD per hour with an expectation of 40 hours per week.
