About the Lionpoint North America Technical Analyst Program
The Analyst (technical focus) program will give you the opportunity to gain immediate hands-on consulting experience and skills, with the opportunity to be aligned to one of the following practice areas:
- Front Middle Office
- The front and middle office practice supports our clients capabilities that align to those functions through the value chain and lifecycle of a deal from origination through close. Additionally, we will cover the post-close monitoring of the portfolio through portfolio management, performance, risk, exposure and valuations as well as the enterprise data and advisory capability often leading to enterprise transformation.
- Limited Partner Services
- LP Services is focused on the Alternatives Investor Community, Pension Funds, Insurance, Family Offices, and other Asset Allocators across Front, Middle, and Back Office. We have a wide breadth of offerings to our clients, from Strategy, Implementation, Data Intelligence, Program/Change Management.
- Enterprise Performance Management
- Our EPM practice focuses on empowering our clients to improve performance and achieve their goals. We design and implement solutions to transform financial and operational planning using tools like Anaplan, Pigment and Workiva.
- Finance and Operations
- The FAO practice specializes in finance operations in the alternatives space, helping clients streamline their back-office business processes with the help of controls and technology to create efficiencies. The team is focused primarily on Fund Accounting, Investment Accounting, Management Company Accounting and Treasury areas.
What training is provided?
New Analysts are provided with a developmental ‘Analyst Training Program’ designed to provide you with key consulting skills helpful to your role, and introduce you to the team. This will consist of the following: tool-specific training (e.g. Excel charting/PowerPoint design); soft skill training (e.g. time management, leadership, presentation skills); and ‘Management Consulting 101’ (project management skills and effective stakeholder management). You will have the opportunity to meet and learn directly from a range of Subject Matter Experts who will present client projects and explain the different focus areas within Lionpoint Group.
Following the Analyst Training Program, you will begin working as part of a Lionpoint team on client engagements! You will receive training on-the-role, as well as full access to LinkedIn Learning – meaning you can further develop your skillsets across a number of topics - examples being communication, presentation, technology and problem solving skills.
What is the role?
As a Lionpoint Analyst (technical focus), you will play a pivotal role in implementing and optimizing cutting-edge solutions within Financial Services and Private Markets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design and configure financial services and private markets operational systems, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Your expertise will drive efficiency, enhance data accuracy, and empower our clients to make informed investment decisions. Through that journey, it will be important for you to build strong client relationships of trust and domain experience. As you build knowledge and experience, you'll become a credible advisor to junior consultants within the organization, as well as your clients, helping them accelerate the delivery of products and services to their users. As Lionpoint continues its growth as a leader in Financial Services and Private Markets Technology, your ability to stay at the forefront of innovative solutions is critical.
You will work in teams to identify and implement solutions for a range of issues facing our clients. Over the course of each project, you will collect and analyze data, prepare and test hypotheses, and present recommendations to the client to solve their unique challenges.
As for where you will work, our team do a combination of working from home, the Lionpoint office (in midtown NYC), and client site. If your client is based in the same city, the amount of office time will vary depending on the client expectations (some clients don't ask us to be in their offices at all, others up to 4 days per week). If your client is based in a different city, travel to the client would typically only be required for key meetings or project milestones.
As an Analyst (technical focus), you will be responsible for:
- Following the project delivery plan and producing accurate, complete, and timely deliverables to support a successful client engagement.
- Supporting the creation of client deliverables by assisting in the facilitation of client meetings and workshops, maintaining project plans, performing analysis in Excel, and providing effective content creation (e.g., PowerPoint)
- As appropriate, receiving training in and working with specialized technology platforms
- Developing meaningful and successful relationships with clients and vendors by acting as a helpful and respectful first point of contact for stakeholders
- Supporting Lionpoint's growth by assisting in the development of client proposals, whitepapers, and other market research
- Maintaining a high-level understanding of the challenges facing the Financial Services / Private Markets industry and understanding the basics of your project practice area

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for highly driven students who:
- Can start full-time starting August 18th 2025 (please note we are primarily looking for individuals to start on this date but will consider individuals starting earlier on an exceptional basis)
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.3 or above
- Have a genuine interest in financial services / private markets industry
- Are curious, ambitious, creative, and entrepreneurial with a “can do” attitude
- Have strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset
- Can effectively communicate in English (both written and spoken)
- Are comfortable with the office / travel expectations in the Job Description
- Are willing to travel for work as needed (e.g. for client engagements / workshops – although with our hybrid working world, significant travel is not expected for this role)
- Are graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 2024 or 2025 (potentially also 2023)
- Have a major and/or minor in one of: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Maths, Data Science, Computer Science, Quantitative Statistics, Data Engineering
- Have the legal right to work in the US
- Although not required, experience in data tools (e.g. SQL and Python) would be ideal!
Please note this is not suitable for Master’s students, who should apply for experienced hire roles.
