Insomniac Games is looking for an intern to work within our Gameplay Programming department. We are looking for a newcomer who has an interest in using their programming skills to create fun gameplay, and who is ready to take their experience to the next level. You'll be part of a team of skilled programmers who have created some of the best gameplay out there!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Working on breakable and interactive objects, AI polish, stats, bonus features, trophies, visual effects, and bug tracking and fixing.
  •  Interns will be mentored by senior members of the Gameplay Programming team and will have the opportunity to develop great connections within the industry.

Internship Qualifications:

  • Six to twelve months related experience and/or training, or students working towards a BS/BSE in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. We will also consider Physics or Math majors with computer programming experience
  • Master's or PhD candidates may apply for this internship.
  • We will also consider recent graduates – within 12 months of graduation, when the internship begins
  • Candidates must be able to program in C++.
  • An ideal intern is energetic, self-motivated, creative, and responsible, and has a passion for video games and programming.

Internship Details:

  • This is a paid, full-time internship.
  • The candidate must be available to intern 5 days per week for approximately 40 hours a week.
  • The duration of internship is flexible, but we expect at least an 8-week commitment from our interns.
  • This role is based in Burbank, California, Durham, North Carolina, or remote.
