Outlier is a platform that connects subject matter experts to help build the world’s most advanced Generative AI. You will work on a variety of projects from generating training data in your discipline to advance these models to evaluating performance of models.

As an AI Math Specialist, you'll rate, review, and rewrite responses from AI models to enhance their accuracy, all from the comfort of your own home. No prior AI experience is needed. Work is intellectually challenging. You'll join a community of experts working on the intersection of math & AI. Earnings:

Responsibilities:

  • Train AI models by creating and answering questions related to your field
  • Evaluate and rank responses generated by AI
  • Leverage your domain expertise to assess the factuality and relevance of text produced by AI models

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Junior or Senior undergraduates enrolled in a mathematics or related program
  • Preferred: Graduate student, Master, PhD, or equivalent proficiency in mathematics or a related-field
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in writing
  • Able to verify educational & professional Information via our partner, Checkr

Nice to Have:

  • Professional writing experience as a researcher, journalist, technical writer, editor, or similar roles
  • Solid subject matter knowledge in other Math subfields
  • Interest in AI and machine learning concepts

Additional Note:

This is a freelance position that is paid on a per-hour basis. We don’t offer internships as this is a freelance role. You also must be authorized to work in your country of residence, and we will not be providing sponsorship since this is a 1099 contract opportunity.
