We are looking for a switched-on junior news editor with an in-depth knowledge of UK sport, in particular football, to join our expanding news operation. Working as part of the UK news team and reporting to the senior and deputy news editors, you will help produce and manage industry-leading important news stories each day and help find a unique angle on it, telling stories in the way only The Athletic can. Other responsibilities will include helping with live coverage and working on our explainer analysis pieces. A deep understanding of sport and sports news is essential.
