Job Title: Product Manager, Internal Tools

Department: Product

About the Role:

As a Product Manager at Unite Us you will be leading a critical domain for tools and workflows that our internal teams use to support customers and clients. You will work closely with Engineering, Internal Operations and Implementation teams, and with leaders across the organization. Using data, you will be responsible for taking workflows and features from concept, through specification and development, up to deployment and communication with your stakeholders. We want you to think big, and outside the box. What have we not thought of? What type of input will help us determine a better solution? How might we make iterative improvements, while thinking about the bigger picture? How might automation play a role? You should expect to work on multiple projects in parallel, applying first principles thinking and problem solving skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop an innovative product vision that supports our internal teams and the tools they use
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform your strategy and roadmap
  • Develop plans that hit target goals, such as: reduce operational load and improve efficiency
  • Develop and write impeccable product requirement documentation
  • Work closely with the tech and UX teams, with an equal seat at the table, brainstorming, communicating context and providing guidance
  • Communicate and partner effectively with stakeholders. We believe the way to operate is with context, not control.
  • Own the product roadmap with your tech and UX counterparts - from bigger features to small enhancements

You’re a great fit for this role if you:

  • Have at least 3 years experience as a software product manager
  • Believe in the power of data and have a proven track record of improving experiences/processes using data
  • Embody an ownership mindset end-to-end
  • Have an abundance mindset and your glass is (generally) half-full
  • Love solving problems and tinkering with solutions
  • Thrive in a fast-paced multi-project environment
  • Have attention for detail
  • Fluently and natively understand the latest web UI and UX best practices
  • Have an interest in social welfare and/or healthcare

Not required but preferred:

  • Experience driving operational improvements and efficiency, e.g. process improvements, workflow automation
  • Experience in a healthtech company
  • Have a technical background or proficiency in web development and API technologies
  • Familiarity with data models
