Purpose of the job:

As a UX Analyst at VALR, your primary responsibility will be to gather and analyse user data and behaviour to enhance usability and user satisfaction within existing products and features and apply learnings to new ventures. You will play a pivotal role in working collaboratively across departments to apply findings effectively and generate new insights to improve our market offering and product design.

What will you be doing:

  • Conduct user interviews, and gather qualitative and quantitative user research to understand user behaviours, preferences, and motivations.
  • Analyse user data and feedback to identify pain points and opportunities for improving the user experience.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of new features or designs.
  • Work closely with designers, product managers, and developers to implement user-centered design principles and findings from experimentation.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and usability reports to inform design decisions and report back on findings.
  • Collaborate with different departments to maintain a holistic context on the product and identify opportunities for product improvement.
  • Participate in product and feature formation end-to-end, and assist teams along the way to advocate for the user and ensure a healthy user experience.

What we look for in you:

  • Practical experience is more relevant than a formal qualification.
  • 6+ years working in product design for technology platforms, with the most recent experience dedicated to UX research, analytics, and application of analytical learnings.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools utilised for qualitative and quantitative user data gathering and analysis.
  • Hands-on and extensive experience in user research methodologies.
  • Familiarity with more technical data-gathering platforms and the ability to become proficient with more technical tools.
  • Experience in UI and UX design and design tools, with the ability to effectively propose and conduct experiments with proofs of concept, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and maintain presence within a remote environment.
  • Keen interest in cryptocurrencies, alternative financial systems, and products within the Web3 ecosystem.
  • A willingness to learn and share alike, improving your own skillset and growing within your ability.
