As a Technical Writer II, you will have a unique blend of skills and qualities to excel in this role, especially when managing multiple projects and ensuring timely delivery within release timelines. 

You will be working on:

  • Project management: Work with cross-team members from the Support, Product, Product Marketing, and Release teams to release necessary documentation for customers on time.
  • Drive effective communication and expectation setting to ensure smooth workflow and timely responses to ad-hoc requests.
  • Work closely with product managers to understand and document product capabilities in our knowledge base.
  • Take ownership of the customer enablement academy, spearheading its transformation by setting clear guidelines and collaborating closely with field teams to meet consumer needs. 
  • Drive innovation by leveraging AI tools to optimize the knowledge base and the academy's effectiveness.
  • Utilize available data from the knowledge base and academy to prioritize enhancements effectively. Analyze trends and feedback to ensure that resources are allocated toward initiatives with the highest impact on customer experience and satisfaction.

We are looking for:

  • Excellent project management abilities to effectively coordinate and prioritize tasks across multiple projects and stakeholders. This includes setting clear milestones, managing deadlines, and adapting to changing requirements.
  • Attention to detail is paramount in technical writing, particularly in maintaining consistency in formatting, style, and adherence to brand guidelines. You should meticulously review content to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Must have a keen eye for visual elements such as images, GIFs, and screenshots.
  • Understand the importance of visual aids in enhancing comprehension and be capable of selecting or creating visuals that effectively complement the written content.
  • Follow established writing guidelines, industry standards, and best practices. This includes familiarity with style guides (e.g., APA, Chicago Manual of Style, & Microsoft Manual of Style - MSTP) and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, accessibility standards).
  • Be proficient in using various tools and software to streamline their workflow and enhance productivity. This includes authoring tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp), version control systems (e.g., Git), AI tools (e.g., Chat GPT, Gemini, Claude), and collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence, Google Docs). Other tools include Grammarly, Camptasia, Trainn, Jira, Zendesk etc.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, staying updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices, and adapt quickly to changes. Effectively use AI tools to optimize work. 
  • Be adept at troubleshooting and problem-solving, especially when faced with challenging technical concepts or ambiguities in requirements. Thinking critically and finding creative solutions is essential for overcoming obstacles and delivering high-quality documentation.
