Senior Coordinator, Pharmacy Licensing & Credentialing

We’re looking for a Pharmacy Licensing & Credentialing Sr. Coordinator to join the Pharmacy Operations Team, within our Strategy and Operations Organization. In this role, you will work closely with our business stakeholders to support pharmacy licensing and credentialing for our pharmacies.  You must be comfortable speaking with others across various channels (primarily email/message) compassionately and professionally. You are a good fit for the role if you are detail-oriented and ready to serve as the subject matter expert for pharmacy licensing and credentialing.  Above all, you embody the Thirty Madison mission of providing access to healthcare for all who suffer from chronic conditions

What you get to do every day 

  • Credentialing:
    • Reviews and screens initial and recredentialing applications based on policies and procedures
    • Collects and validates documentation for completeness and accuracy
    • Analyzes and resolves discrepancies, time gaps, and other adverse events
    • Monitors files to ensure completeness and accuracy
    • Enters, updates and maintains data from facility applications into credentialing database
  • Licensing
    • Perform functions necessary to maintain pharmacy licenses
    • Process applications for pharmacy licensing renewals and all applicable updates
    • Maintain facility regulatory profiles as required, including NCPDP (National Council for Prescription Drug Programs) and NABP (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy)
    • Internal point of contact for licensing questions regarding new licenses, renewals, and ongoing updates
  • General
    • Participates in the development and implementation of process improvements for credentialing and licensing
    • Provide support to organization as needed during accreditation and re-accreditation periods
    • Other ad-hoc, pharmacy-operations related tasks

What you bring to the role 

  • At least 1 year of experience in a credentialing or licensing role
  • Experience with PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Manager) applications and other credentialing tools
  • Experience communicating with regulatory and licensing boards
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills 
  • Knowledge of URAC (Utilization Review Accreditation Commission), ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care) a plus
  • Knowledge of state Medicaid enrollment requirements and procedures a plus
  • Aptitude and enthusiasm to learn the ins and outs of a fast-moving startup in the healthcare world
  • Great written and verbal communication
  • Google Suite knowledge and the ability to navigate spreadsheets are a must 
  • Superb judgment, the ability to think quickly on your feet, and with deep empathy

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7 to 8 hours per day.
  • Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
