RECUR is a technology company that designs & develops dedicated branded experiences that allow fans to buy, collect, and re-sell digital products and collectibles (NFTs). RECUR is the only blockchain-agnostic NFT platform ultimately giving its brand partners the widest range of distribution and their fan bases the widest range of utility. RECUR also co-authored the recurring royalty standard for NFTs, allowing for creators, artists, athletes, and brands to participate in the secondary sales of their assets in perpetuity.
RECUR’s Accounting organization is focused on producing world-class financial reporting for our internal and external stakeholders. We use industry-leading enterprise ERP software as well as cutting-edge tools, and partner with firms and regulatory bodies outside RECUR to answer some of the most interesting questions in cryptoaccounting. We’re looking for a Senior Accountant with an active CPA to join our Controller and rockstar Finance team.
What you will do at RECUR:
- The small stuff: Reconciliation of deposits and reimbursements of cryptocurrencies (crypto coins and tokens) and FIAT, accurate vouching and coding of invoices, timely remittance of payments to our partners and vendors
- The medium stuff: Assisting with the build-out of the control environment within the accounting and treasury functions, liaising with business partners to improve the record to report functions
- The big stuff: Reconciliation and reporting of royalties to our NFT partners, providing accuracy and reliability around the balance sheet and analysis over the post-close P&L results
What you bring to RECUR:
- 5+ years of experience as an accountant, with at least 2 years at a Big4 firm
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline
- An active CPA
- Broad exposure across multiple subledgers, not just Cash or AP
- Experience with cash management and treasury
- Experience with procurement
- Experience using Oracle Netsuite or a similar cloud-based ERP
- Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and/or NFTs
- A “no job is too small” attitude
